From its inception on November 27, 1940 BWIA West Indies Airways
Limited, fondly referred to as BWIA or BWee has flown the Caribbean
skies. The airline provides consistent service in transportation and
promotes development through education, technology transfer, trade and
tourism.
BWIA pioneered many of the Caribbean destinations that are now familiar names on the schedule of other carriers. It pioneered air routes between the Caribbean islands and many of the region’s links with the wider world. In island after island it built foundations of a modern tourist industry. It acted as parent or midwife to many of the other carriers that entered Caribbean aviation in later years. We take this opportunity to say thank you BWIA for being one of our pioneering sponsors.
